PEPE – A1082243
Gone - 7-27-2016 Manhattan
***GONE 07/27/16*** TWO PRECIOUS STRAYS, ONE AWFUL FATE! RAMONA and PEPE are two strays who were taken to the ACC on July 22nd. The ACC would have been in the midst of their “Clear the Shelter” promotion right then, while these lovelies waited out their stray holds. Now that the event is over and the stray holds have expired, the ACC have decided to “clear the shelter” a whole lot more by KILLING 45 CATS TOMORROW! RAMONA carries a NEW HOPE rating, PEPE carries an EXPNOCHILD rating, and both cats are in terrible danger tonight! They are both only a few years old and could both live happy lives, if only a foster/adopter would save them tonight. PLEASE HELP!

Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Pepe looks tense, crouched down at the back of the cage when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Pepe remains in place, alert with eyes wide open. Reaction to touch: Pepe accepts the stroke, but stiffens during the touch and remains immobile in place. Placement determination: Experience / no child Pepe tolerates attention and petting, but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
