07/05/17 14:09 Basic Information: Peanut is a 9 year old neutered Orange & White DSH that has no past or current medical issues that the owner is aware of. Owner has had Peanut for 2 weeks and surrendered due to allergies. Socialization: According to the owner, around strangers, Peanut can be friendly and outgoing. Peanut has lived with children varying from ages 5, 7, & 10 years old and was described as relaxed, affectionate, and respectful. Around adults and children, Peanut plays gently gentle. Peanut has never been around cats or other animals so his behavior is unknown. He has never bitten a person or another animal before. Behavior: Previous owners stated that Peanut does not have any behavioral or litterbox issues. Peanut enjoys having his coat brushed and being picked up & held. Peanut isn’t bothered when disturbed while sleeping/resting. Peanut is afraid when being given a bath or having his nails trimmed. Peanut is afraid, hisses, and struggles when being put into a carrier and he meows during car rides. For a New Family to Know: Peanut is described as friendly and playful with a medium activity level. When in the home, Peanut would sometimes make sure to be in the same room and other times he would just be in his favorite spots. Peanut likes to play with string and laser pointers. Peanut usually slept on the couch. He was kept indoors only and is litter box trained. Peanut used an uncovered litter box and clumping litter. Peanut was fed both wet and dry cat food. Peanut also used a scratching post made of rough rope. Upon Intake: Animal’s appearance – fur appeared clean and seemed of healthy weight Animal’s demeanor with you – Allowed all handling, collaring, being picked up and held, and leaned into petting upon intake. Struggled when being put into a carrier.
