*** SAFE 07/20/16 ***BEGINNER RATED KITTEN! This exquisite guy should have everything to look forward to, considering that he’s a 12-month-old hug machine who has nothing but purrrrrs to lavish on the people he meets. Instead, PATCHES has NOTHING to look forward to because he’s had the incredible bad fortune to land in the ACC, during their frenzied cat-killing summer of 2016. They are planing to kill close to 50 cats tomorrow afternoon, plus some dogs for good measure, which means the euth technician has a hard days’ work cut out for him or herself. That means getting started right at the stroke of noon, and that means NO second chances! Make sure PATCHES is able to live a full, happy life by finding a foster/adopter for him, tonight!

Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Patches was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to his behavior in his previous home. He allowed all handling upon intake and during his initial medical exam, although he was nervous and tried to grab onto things when taking him out of his kennel. Reaction to assessor: Patches was calm, relaxed, and friendly by the front. Reaction when softly spoken to: Patches meows and reaches out with his paw. Reaction to cage door opening: Patches greets the assessor by the opening and remains soft and relaxed. Reaction to touch: Patches head-butts, leans in for petting, and begins to purr. He is very affectionate and meows when petting stops. Reaction to pick up: Patches remains calm and allows handling. Placement Determination: Beginner Patches interacts with the Assessor, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat can go to a beginner home.
