***SAFE 10/28/17*** HANDSOME TUX PASTRAMI NEEDS YOUR HELP TONIGHT! PASTRAMI was an owner surrender with the allergy excuse. His owner didn’t even stay long enough to give the shelter any pertinent info on his cat. Pastrami is a 3 yr old neutered boy and is stressed at the ordeal of being abandoned. He will need someone to give him some time and space to come out of his shell. IF YOU HAVE A SPOT IN YOUR HEART FOR THIS POOR GUY, PLEASE CONTACT A NEW HOPE RESCUE TO RESERVE PASTRAMI BY NOON!!
MANHATTAN CENTER
Hello, my name is Pastrami. My animal id is #10642. I am a desexed male black cat at the Manhattan Animal Care Center. The shelter thinks I am about 3 years old.
I came into the shelter as a owner surrender on 24-Oct-2017, with the surrender reason stated as person health – allergies.
Pastrami is at risk for behavior (New Hope Only determination). Pastrami is stressed in care center and is not tolerating all handling and will hiss and swat when you attempt to interact. At this time there are no medical concerns for Pastrami.
My medical notes are…
Weight: 11.5 lbs

There is no scrotal swelling or local bruising. 0.1 ml epinephrine was instilled into this incision. Fluorescein stain to left eye – there is a very large shallow ulceration in the center of the cornea, about 3 mm across x 1 mm high. Atropine ointment and terramycin ointment applied. E-collar was placed to limit self-trauma to scrotum and corneal ulcer. Given behavior this will be difficult, but we must try: terramycin OS BID x6 days. Monitor eye; if ulceration gets worse, further treatment will be required. 1088
