I am a female brn tabby and orange domestic sh mix. The shelter thinks I am about 7 MONTHS old.
I came in the shelter as a STRAY on 01/22/2017 from NY 10473, owner surrender reason stated was STRAY.

01/22/17 14:53 Paprika was brought here in an open lid box, she did not try to escape in the admissions room and allowed all handling. She is very mellow and has been this way while in Odette’s home. She has been sneezing for the past 3-4 days and her eyes look a little watery. Clients reported while in their home she was very mellow and tranquil.

KNOWN HISTORY: Paprika was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to her behavior in her previous home. Her finder found her on their front porch and has kept her indoors for two weeks. While bringing her to the care center, she was kept in an open lid box and she did not try to escape. She was very mellow and allowed all handling, EVALUATION: Cage Condition: No change Reaction to assessor: Paprika was lying down near the front and was calm, relaxed, and friendly. Reaction when softly spoken to: Paprika approaches the front and rubs her cheeks on the cage door. Reaction to cage door opening: Paprika remains soft and relaxed. Reaction to touch: Paprika head-butts, leans in for petting, and begins to purr. She is very affectionate throughout the interaction. Reaction to being picked up: Paprika remains calm and rests calmly when held. ENRICHMENT NOTES: Incredibly affectionate. At the front on approach, rubbing against the bars. Leaned and arched into pets, purred and rolled over. Comfortable being held. MEDICAL BEHAVIOR: Purring, kneading paws, but runs away from examiner and restraint. ACTIVITY LEVEL: Laid back and Mellow VOCAL: Quiet CHARACTER TYPE: Social, Calm, Sweet, and Affectionate BEHAVIOR SUMMARY: Beginner Paprika interacts with the Assessor, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat can go to a beginner home.
