Pancakes was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to his behavior in his previous home. Reaction to assessor: Pancakes was at the front of the kennel looking out at his surroundings. Reaction when softly spoken to: Pancakes is curious and leans forward towards the assessor. Reaction to cage door opening: Pancakes is calm and relaxed. Reaction to touch: Pancakes is hesitant when the assessor extends his hand out and slowly leans away from contact. He sniffs the assessor’s hand, allows petting and slowly warms up to contact. He leans in for rubs, becomes more comfortable and gives light head butts. Reaction to being picked up: Pancakes was a bit tense when held, looked around at his surroundings and slowly warmed up. Behavior Determination: Average Pancakes interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.
