Paige was brought originally brought in as a stray, so there is no information on her behavior in her previous home.
MEDICAL BEHAVIOR:
Observed Behavior – Easy to handle – affectionate.
EVALUATION:
Cage Condition: Cage is neat
Reaction to assessor: Paige was lying down in her litter box, resting.
Reaction when softly spoken to: Paige looks at the assessor with squinted eyes, blinking sofly.
Reaction to cage door opening: Paige becomes alert and lowers her body, tense.
Reaction to touch: Paige lowers her head and was hesitant, but accepts petting. She flinches a bit when touched along her body and her tail is curled up beside her body, but she tolerates all petting. She appeared a bit uncomfortable, but seemed to appreciate gentle rubs.
ACTIVITY LEVEL: Moderate
VOCAL: Quiet
CHARACTER TYPE: Timid, Shy
RECOMMENDATIONS:
– Experienced cat parents – Paige tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter. She may need time to warm up to her new home and family. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents.
