SAFE 2/1/18 BEGINNER Ozone & Crate Mate Solar Found Abandoned Together! SWEET PAIR! OZONE is a very sweet but nervous kitty who is already neutered and hoping someone will adopt him asap.
Ozone was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to his behavior in his previous home.
Very sweet but tense at the back of his cage. Was nervous for the exam. Easily handle able. Did well for all medical handling and procedures
Lying in cubby with a relaxed body, ears forward. Scent marks litterbox when spoken to and begins to knead. Allows petting along head and body while leaning in and rolling over onto side. Body and face is soft. Sweet, handsome boy â€“ doing well!
Reaction to assessor:
Ozone was resting and lying down in his cubby.
Reaction when softly spoken to:
Ozone perks up when spoken to softly and rolls over on his side.
Reaction to cage door opening:
Ozone remains calm and relaxed.
Reaction to touch:
Ozone sniffs the assessor, nuzzles against his hand and rolls around playfully while kneading. He gives head butts and allows petting all over his body.
Reaction to being picked up:
Ozone was a bit tense when picked up, but he remains calm and allows all handling.
H – Healthy
Ozone interacts with the Assessor, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat can go to a beginner home.

EENT: Eyes clear, ears clean, no nasal discharge noted
Oral Exam: adult dentition with mild dental staining, no oral lesions noted
PLN: No enlargements noted
H/L: NSR, NMA, CRT < 2, Lungs clear, eupneic
ABD: Non painful, no masses palpated
MSI: Ambulatory x 4, skin free of parasites, no masses noted, overweight with flaky coat
CNS: mentation appropriate – no signs of neurologic abnormalities
Plan: Continue to monitor while at BACC
