Has also spent time with an American Pit-Bull terrier and was affectionate. There is no known history of biting another animal or person. Behavior is good. When riding in the car he will cry at first but is relaxed after getting use to it. Has no history of having litter box accidents. When being bathed he is tolerant; has never had his nails trimmed and enjoys and friendly when having his coat brushed. He isn’t bothered when being picked up and held but struggles when being placed in a carrier. Orion is described as being friendly and independent with a high activity level that will do best in a family home. When home he will be in his favorite spot which is the kitchen window or his bed. He likes to play with cat nip toys and was indoors only. He slept on his bed and was free fed dry 9 lives; he also enjoys Temptations as treats. He is litter boxed trained using a hooded box with crystal litter. He doesn’t scratch so a post wasn’t provided.
05/03/2016 WEB MEMO
A volunteer writes: You can’t miss Orion’s gorgeous big green eyes, looking at you waiting to play. It was my honor to work with Orion, who is a special guy. Rubbing his soft luscious fur is what he wants: pawing for your attention, wanting some head rubs. This great guy is playful, so come a play with him and see for yourself what a great kitty he is. Another volunteer writes: Orion is a big boy, and is this boy more than ready to exchange his kennel for some real space to hang and explore! He is a quiet, easy-going and friendly cat who can either sit back and have a nice conversation with you, or get up close and personal for some quality petting time. Either way, Orion would make a great feline companion. One thing to be aware of, though, is that Orion seems to be annoyed by his kennel neighbors who make a lot of commotion while they play with their toys. It may just be that Orion likes the idea of being the only kitty in the household; spoiled, petted and fussed over, which is just what this lovely boy deserves.
