10/26/2016 PET PROFILE MEMO
10/26/16 17:13 Orchid’s most recent owner inherited Orchid from her mother. Most recent owner believes Orchid is 20 years old, but wasn’t positive. Orchid was surrendered because she bit her owner while she was sleeping. Orchid’s previous owner was unsure of how she reacted around strangers. She stated both that “she doesn’t like them” and “she lets them pet her” so it is unclear what her pattern of behavior is. During intake, Orchid walked right out of her carrier and sat infront of counselor. She allowed for petting and collaring. Orchid does have a bite history- she bit her owner once on the face while she was sleeping. Orchid has recently been pooping on the floor, but hasn’t been taken to the vet for this issue. She still always urinates inside the litter box. This behavior has been going on for about one month. Orchid allows to be picked up and held, and is easy to put into a carrier. Previous owner states that Orchid has a low activity level. She sleeps for most of the day. Orchid usually hangs out by herself, but will sometimes solicit attention from her owners. She is used to being in a quiet house with one adult who is gone for most of the day. Orchid will eat wet or dry food, and has a habit of stealing human food off of the table. She is used to an uncovered litter box and clumping litter. Orchid likes to scratch on fabric, like a cat bed.
