Observed Behavior – Fractious, could not full examine
ENRICHMENT NOTES:
2/7/18
Crouched at back under kuranda bed, eyes dilated. Became alert when door opened, sat up. Tolerated brief pets, then slowly walked away, body held low, crouched in litter box.
2/8/18
Crouched on top of kuranda bed, tense, eyes dilated. Hissed quietly when door opened. Shifted away, then retreated to other kennel to avoid touch, body held low.

Omellete remains neutral, crouched position on her kuranda bed, during the approach.
Reaction when softly spoken to:
Omellete becomes alert with eyes wide open, pupils dilated.
Reaction to cage door opening:
Omellete stands with tail down, attempting to run towards the other side of the cage with ears erect and forward.
Reaction to touch:
Omellete avoids contact, but stiffens up in place and accepts the touch with no interest.

Behavior Notes:
Upon intake Omelette did not allow any handling. The kitten was very nervous, tense body and dilated eyes. Once removed from the carrier Omelette fled and began attempting to escape the room. Counselors wrapped the towel around the kitten and then Omelette proceeded to bite at the gloves and towel. Omelette was placed in the carrier and no further handling was attempted.
