*SAFE* 01/29/16 – 10 week old injured kitten @ BACC **MUST HAVE PLACEMENT BY 5PM TONIGHT**

O’Day A1063815- 10 weeks old, Male, Domestic Short Hair, Black and White, Stray, 2.5 pounds
Medical:
Scan : NEGATIVE
Sex: male
Approx 10 weeks
S/O: BAR, hissing, attempted to strike from kennel. Sedated w/ 0.05ml Telazol for examination. MM pink, CRT <2s. Mild mucoid ocular d/c, mucoid nasal discharge. Ears moderate amound of dark debris. Old degloving injury to right hind foot, dorsal surface has wound caked w/ street grit, no muscle or bones exposure, granulation tissue present. Entire paw is very swollen w/ cellulitis. Distal end of tail has open fracture. Right front paw has healing linear wound w/ exposed granulation tissue and scar, and minimal inflmmation around wound.
Abdominal palpation WNL, cardiothoracic auscultation WNL.
FeLV/FIV: Negative
Cleaned wounds w/ warm water and chlorhexidine solution.
A: Tail fracture, severe wound and cellulitis right hind paw.
P: Requries tail amputation and treatment for right hind paw wound, may require hind limb amputation. Will need supportive care such as IV antibiotics and fluids, and pain management
Deadlind for placement 5pm 1/28, cannot stay in shelter overnight.
Prognosis: GUARDED
