11/09/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – BEGINNER
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Obsidian was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to his behavior in his previous home. Reaction to assessor: Obsidian was lying down at the front of the kennel then slowly gets up and stretches his body. Reaction when softly spoken to: Obsidian rubs up against the kennel door then reaches out softly with paws and meows at the assessor. Reaction to cage door opening: Obsidian is calm and relaxed. Reaction to touch: Obsidian sniffs the assessor’s hand and allows petting all over his body. He brushes up against the assessor and purrs softly when rubbed on his cheeks. His body is relaxed, he appreciates attention and slowly walks out the kennel to explore his surroundings. Reaction to being picked up: Obsidian was a bit tense when picked up but remains calm and allows all handling. Behavior Determination: Beginner Obsidian interacts with the assessor, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. No known history of behavioral problems. This cat can go to a beginner home.
