ELOISE aka NURAY – A1082185
Safe - 1-15-2017 Manhattan
**SAFE 1/15/17 Eloise’s foster family writes: Eloise is a wonderful cat. She has grown so much in the time we have had her and gets more confident every day. While she requires a calm and slow approach, she is quick to warm up and solicit attention and affection by rubbing on you and head-butting. She likes to be petted and kissed but not overly so for extended periods of time as she can get over stimulated. She will run to greet you at the door every day and meow as if to say “welcome home! I missed you!” Eloise loves her catnip toys and bats them around, flinging them in air for hours. She also benefits from a “treat puzzle” to keep her busy while she is at home alone. At night, when its time for bed, Eloise tucks herself in right along side you and sleeps through the night. She has a lot of love to give even though she can be a little shy at times. Anyone who is willing to give her time to warm up will be rewarded with more love than you could imagine coming from such a petite little cat!

07/22/2016 PET PROFILE MEMO
07/22/16 11:15 Nuray (Turkish meaning “bright moon or moonlight”) A1082185 is a young female black and white DSH feline who was found roaming and attempting to run into neighbor’s apartments in the finder’s building today. She’s been noticed for a while but they haven’t been able to catch her. The finder stated they’ve heard and seen “youngn’s shooting at her” and they were afraid she’d get killed so they thought it best for her to be brought in. They aren’t able/willing to keep her themselves. The finder lured Nuray into their carrier with cat food and didn’t handle her. During intake Nuray allowed all handling. She allowed to be scanned (-), collared and taken pictures of including positioning her during her photo session. Nuray rested in my arms as I grabbed the scanner and camera & didn’t seem to mind being held. Nuray was then placed into a kennel with ease where she retreated to the back.

07/26/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Nuray looks tense, crouched position at the back when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Nuray remains in place, alert with eyes wide open. Reaction to touch: Nuray looks around then hisses at the assessor’s hand, slowly retreats further to the back and attempts to swat to stop the interaction. Placement determination: Experience / no child During Nuray’s intial exam she was showing friendly behavior however, she is fearful now after a few days in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
