NORRA – A1081890
Safe - 8-13-2016 Brooklyn
***SAFE 08/13/16*** SECOND CHANCE FOR A HEARTBREAKING KITTY! NORRA is a pretty 13-month-old kitten who was found in an abandoned apartment, then taken to the ACC on July 19th. Whoever found her is reported as having “felt bad for her” but what is NOT mentioned in those intake notes, is that NORRA was pregnant during that intake process. Read her medical notes because the entire sad story plays out in those few, cryptic paragraphs: the “dead/partially resorbed fetus” that NORRA passed in her cage; the spay surgery; the EXPERIENCE rating earned just days after that awful occurrence. NORRA has been warehoused in the ACC for weeks, recovering from her surgery and waiting to find out what happens next. Unfortunately for NORRA, what happens tomorrow is a painful, unsedated DEATH at the hands of the ACC, unless someone steps up to foster or adopt her tonight!

07/22/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPERIENCE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Norra was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to her behavior in her previous home. Reaction to assessor: Norra takes a step back and cries out as you approach. Reaction when softly spoken to: Norra was in a crouched position and looks around wary of her surroundings. Reaction to cage door opening: Norra remains neutral. Reaction to touch: Norra stays crouched and leans forward to sniff the assessor’s hand. She leans against the assessor’s hand and lightly brushes up for attention. Her body is a bit tense when pet and she lip licks throughout the entire reaction. Reaction to being picked up: Norra is a bit tense when held, looks around, lip licks and allows all handling. Behavior Determination: Experience Norra may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to her new home. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents.
