Hello, my name is Norman. My animal id is #13038. I am a female brown tabby cat at the Brooklyn Animal Care Center. The shelter thinks I am about 6 years old.
I came into the shelter as a aco impound on 18-Nov-2017.
Norman was placed at risk due to medical condition, he has some complications and will benefit from placement out of the care center. his behavior has being good and there hasn’t been any concern in that regard.

Eating well Evidence of Cruelty seen – no Evidence of Trauma seen – no Objective P = WNL R = WNL BCS 3/9 EENT: Eyes clear, ears clean, mild crusted nasal discharge noted Oral Exam: Mild to moderate dental tartar PLN: No enlargements noted H/L: NSR, NMA, CRT < 2, Lungs clear, eupnic, upper airway congestion ABD: Non painful, no masses palpated U/G: Female MSI: Ambulatory x 4, skin free of parasites, no masses noted, unkempt hair coat CNS: mentation appropriate – no signs of neurologic abnormalities, ataxic, falls to left side Assessment: Underweight, dehydrated, mild URI, icteric, ataxic – R/O liver disease vs other Plan: CBC/Chem pending. KNOWN HISTORY:: Norman was brought into our care center as a stray so we have no previous history available.
MEDICAL BEHAVIOR:: Allows all handling.
Cage Condition:: Cage is neat
Reaction to assessor:: Norman is sitting in the center of his kennel with his body relaxed and ears forward as the assessor approaches.
Reaction when softly spoken to:: Normal makes eye contact when spoken to softly. He then stands up and comes forward while beginning to purr.
Reaction to cage door opening:: Norman remains relaxed in the front of his kennel and continues to purr as the cage door opens.
Reaction to touch:: Norman allows petting along his head and body while raising his tail and purring.
Reaction to being picked up:: Norman remains relaxed and continues to purr as the assessor picks him up and carries him.
