I am a female gray domestic sh mix. The shelter thinks I am about 4 YEARS old.
I came in the shelter as a OWNER SUR on 11/15/2016 from NY 11226, owner surrender reason stated was NO TIME.

12/05/16 Lethargy noted on rounds. O: Lethargic, ARH. mm=pink, moist, CRT<2 s. EENT: Watery eye discharge OU. Mild mucoid nasal discharge, congestion, sneeze marks in cage. H/L: Lungs clear, no murmurs. ABD: WNL. MS: Good body condition. INTEG: Normal skin turgor. A: URI. P: Move to iso. Rx Doxycycline susp 50 mg/ml. Give 0.6 ml PO q 24 hours x 10 days. Excellent prognosis.

11/15/16 12:35 Night is a gray DSH cat that is 4 years old. Night was a gift to the owner when she was just a kitten. The owner is surrendering Night due to having a busy schedule. Night has no known illness. Night has been around children ages 2 and up. Night is playful and leans in to rub for attention. Night keeps her distance for a few minutes when strangers visit. But she slowly warms up ang allows to be petted and meow for attention. Night has lived with 2 adults in the house. Night has never lived with dogs or cats. Night has never received a bath, had her nails trimmed. She allows to be picked up but slowly struggles away. Night always uses her open litter box located in the bathroom & she uses a clumping litter. Night has never had a bite or scratch history. Night is described as friendly, relaxed and mellow. She greets the owner by the door every evening. She purrs when petted. Night favorite toys are string and mice toys. Night loves to sleep on the living room sofa or kitchen dining room chair. Night enjoys being rubbed on her back. She also loves to look out the window and sleep. Night during intake was nervous and very fearful. She was hissing & swatting. She allowed to be picked up with a towel but allowed minimal handling.

As per previous owner, Night has been around children ages 2 and up and was playful and relaxed with them. She keeps her distance briefly when strangers come over and slowly warms up and allows petting and rubs. Night has never lived with dogs or cats and is litter box trained. Her owner describes her as friendly, relaxed and mellow. She purrs when pet and she loves playing with string and mice toys. Reaction to assessor: Night chirps at the assessor and comes forward slowly with her body lowered and her rear raised. Reaction when softly spoken to: Night meows softly, gently brushes against the door and starts back peddling for attention. Reaction to cage door opening: Night is calm and relaxed. Reaction to touch: Night rolls around on her side, purrs softly when rubbed and allows all over her body. She continues to back pedal, gives soft head butts and is incredibly affectionate. Reaction to being picked up: Night is calm, relaxed and has a soft body when held. Please be advised that Night is in heat at the time of assessment, and the behavior presented at the time of evaluation may differ when the heat cycle is complete due to a change in hormonal balance. Behavior Determination: Average Night interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.
