***SAFE 03/27/16*** WHO WILL BE NEYO’S EASTER HERO TONIGHT?? NEYO is a 6 month old guy who has been suffering…..He has a fractured jaw which has gone untreated and also an abcess. He has an appetite and the will to live!! BUT HE NEEDS HELP! NEYO is NEW HOPE only due to his medical condition and needs to be pulled by a rescue….The ACC thought NEYO was 5 years old because of the shape he came in and he is only a little tyke….PLEASE HELP NEYO TO LIVE AND GET BETTER BY OFFERING TO FOSTER OR ADOPT TONIGHT!! I am a male brn tabby domestic sh mix. The shelter thinks I am about 6 MONTHS old.
I came in the shelter as a STRAY on 03/22/2016 from NY 11433, owner surrender reason stated was STRAY.

Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Neyo looks neutral in the cage when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Neyo slowly retreats to the back of the cage crouches down in place, alert with eyes wide open. Reaction to touch: Neyo does not allow the stroke then began to hiss and swat at the assessor’s hand. Placement determination: NH ONLY Neyo is displaying behaviors that preclude placement in the adoptions room. He is stressed in the shelter environment and does not currently tolerate petting. The behavior department feels that placement with a New Hope Partner is the best option at this time.
