History : Reportedly fell off roof ~2weeks ago. Triage on presentation – abdominal tap was negative, pyrantel was given, R/O CH
Subjective: Eating well, normal/soft stool
Observed Behavior – BARH. Allows all handling.
Evidence of Cruelty seen – no
Evidence of Trauma seen – no
Objective
P = WNL R = WNL BCS 4/9 with distended abd
EENT: Eyes clear, ears clean, no nasal discharge noted
Oral Exam: Teeth clean, erupting appropriately, pink mm
PLN: No enlargements noted
H/L: NSR, NMA, CRT < 2, Lungs clear, eupnic
ABD: Non painful, no masses palpated; distended
U/G: Female
MSI: Ambulatory x 4, skin free of parasites, no masses noted, healthy, very dirty hair coat
CNS: mentation appropriate, ataxic, falls over when ambulating, slight trembling, head shaking
Assessment: Reportedly fell from roof about two weeks ago — Underage, distended abdomen, neurologic disease. Problems may be related to trauma vs separate problem list (cerebellar hypoplasia, intestinal parasites, other)
Plan: Abdominal/pelvic radiographs scheduled. Continue to monitor while at BACC
Prognosis: Fair
SURGERY:
Temporary waiver due to underage, medical concerns
