Nacho was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to her behavior in her
previous home.
MEDICAL BEHAVIOR:
tense but tolerated exam well

Nacho remains calm and looks at assessor.

Nacho hisses as the door opens but remains laying in the back of her den.

Nacho appears uncomfortable as assessor reaches in to pet her. She wraps her tail around her body and hisses. She raises her paw as a warning but sniffs assessors hand and remains calm. She tolerates petting along her head and body.

Nacho is tense when she is picked up and struggles to go back into her kennel.

Nacho is a young cat that may not have had many interactions with humans from an early age. She may be apprehensive of people, but the behavior team believes he has potential to warm up to people. Kittens less than 8 weeks of age can be socialized by almost anyone; however, kittens between 2-4 months may require more time and skill in order for them to be comfortable around people. Please speak to an adoption counselor to learn more about socialization techniques.
