Myna looks neutral, sitting upright on the ledge, but quickly runs into the cage cubby with tail down on approach.

Reaction to cage door opening:
Myna remains in hiding, crouched position at the back with tail close to the body, ears erect and forward.
Reaction to touch:
Myna retreats further away from the assessor then slowly sniffs the hand and accepts the touch. Her skin twitches during the petting with no interest towards the interaction.

Somewhat chatty

Timid

BEHAVIOR SUMMARY:
Myna tolerates attention and petting but may be stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in an experienced, adult only home who understands this cat may need time to warm up to her new home and family at her own pace.
