The owner states that he has escaped the house before and has litter box accidents a few times per week. Munk Munk is spraying and has been doing so for about 6 months to a year and was not seen a vet for the issue. His owner describes her as confident, mellow and quiet with a medium activity level. Reaction to assessor: Munk Munk meows softly and gently rubs up against the kennel doors for attention. Reaction when softly spoken to: Munk Munk continues to solicit attention with his tail erect. Reaction to cage door opening: Munk Munk is calm and relaxed. Reaction to touch: Munk Munk is very vocal, rubs up for attention and is very affectionate. He allows petting all over, leans in for cheek rubs and appreciates attention. Reaction to being picked up: Munk Munk was a bit tense when picked up , remained calm and allows all handling. Munk Munk previous owners report that he was eliminating (urinating/spraying) outside the litterbox a few times a week for the past 6 months to a year. We are unaware of what, if any, modifications steps were taken to try and address this behavior in the home, so we cannot be sure what the trigger may have been or if this behavior may continue in a future home. However, we recommend that potential adopters be comfortable with management and modification techniques for elimination outside the litterbox should this behavior continue in a home environment. Behavior Determination: Beginner Munk Munk interacts with the assessor, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. No known history of behavioral problems. This cat can go to a beginner home.
