05/10/16 10:16 Basic Information: Munchies is a 16 year old male domestic short hair cat who was surrendered due to his previous owner having to move to a place where animals are not allowed. Socialiazation: Around starngers Munchies is friednly, outgoing, and doesn’t play with adults. Munchies has lived with children ages 2 to 13, around them Munchies is relaxed, affectionate but doesn’t play. Munchies has never been around any other cats so it is unknownhow he will react to them. Munchies has been around one large dog who she was aggressive toward. Munchies would swat, hiss and scratch that dog. Munchies has neevr bitten another person or animal. Behavior: Munchies often scratches on the furniture and is relaxed when he rides in the car. Munchies’ previous owner did not attempt give him a bath or trim his nails so it is unknown how he will react to those events. Munchies will swat when someone tries to brush him.Munchies enjoys when someone picks up/holds him and doesn’t mind being disturbed while he resting/sleeping. Munchies becomes afriad when people place him in a carrier. For a New Family to Know: Munchies is described as friendly, affectionate, mellow, confident, and quiet with a medium activity level. Munchies likes to lay outside on the deck when she is relaxing. Munchies likes to play balls, stuffed toys, and catnip toys. Munchies has been kept indoors only and was fed both wet and dry food twice a day. Munchies is litter box trained and uses an uncovered litter box with clumping litter. Munchies was not given a scratching post so it is unknown how she will react to one. Intake Behavior: Munchies could not be collared or have picture taken outside of carrier, Munchies would growl when staff attempted to take him out of the carrier.

Munchies would swat, hiss and scratch at the dog. Munchies is described as friendly, affectionate, mellow, confident, and quiet with a medium activity level. Our enrichment facilitator has interacted with Munchies and at the time she was in the litter box. Munchies was hesitant of contact and lip licks then sniffs hand. Munchies tolerates petting and slowly becomes more confident. He gets up and allows petting all over then lightly head butts hand. Reaction to assessor: Munchies does not come to front but looks at you calm and relaxed When spoken quietly: Munchies comes to the front of cage and calmly looks at the assessor Reaction to door cage opening: Munchies remains soft and relaxed Reaction to touch: Munchies solicits petting and attention Try picking cat up: Munchies is tolerant of this type of handling Behavior Determination: Average At the time of the assessment Munchies was displaying friendly behavior, comes to the front of the kennel, interacts with the Assessor, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. Munchies is displaying behavior appropriate for a new or experience cat owner.
