Behavior-Mild tense and nervous during intake
ENRICHMENT NOTES:
7/23/18
Resting in litter box, head down, eyes dilated. Became alert when door opened, lifted head, started lip licking. Sat up when touched, tolerated or tried to lean away from pets, seemed uncomfortable.
7/24/18
Crouched position at the back of the cage cubby, pupils dilated, sniffs and sits upright while slowly withdrawing from the hand, accepts a brief touch on the head, ears turn sideways, lip licks and anxiously looks around.
7/25/18
A little better today! Exploring cage on approach, tense, eyes dilated. Hissed when spoken to, retreated to cubby, crouched down behind litter box. Raised head when door opened, leaned away from touch, stress meowed. Ate offered treat after door closed, seemed to warm up a bit. Came out to shelf, tail up, sniffed hand and started rubbing against the bars. Eyes still dilated, continually focused on door, upset about hallway noise?
7/26/18
Crouched position in the cage cubby, hard stare, seems curious and slowly sniffs the hand. He retreats while he remains wary with his surroundings and head rubs but after hisses to stop the interaction.
