Moosey approaches the front and sits upright. He was calm, relaxed, and friendly.
Reaction when softly spoken to:
Moosey meows and head-butts the cage door. He can be heard purring!
Reaction to cage door opening:
Moosey greets the assessor by the opening, soft and relaxed.
Reaction to touch:
Moosey head-butts right away and leans in for petting. He continues to purr and rub against the assessor’s body, very sweet and affectionate.
Reaction to being picked up:
Moosey remains calm and allows handling.

U/G: Neutered male- perineal urethrostomy- mild erythema at PU site, patent, sensitive to palpation in that region
MSI: Ambulatory x 4, skin free of parasites, no masses noted, healthy hair coat
CNS: Mentation appropriate – no signs of neurologic abnormalities
Rectal: DNP
Assessment: Perineal urethrostomy, otherwise apparently healthy young adult MN cat
Prognosis: Excellent
Plan: Rec urinary SO diet d/t presumptive history of urinary obstruction and corrective sx. Ok for placement/adoption.
SURGERY:
Permanent waiver due to already neutered.
