08/31/16*** 8 MONTH OLD MOO WAS DUMPED FOR PERSONAL PROBLEMS AND NOW HE IS THE ONE WITH THE BIGGEST PROBLEM!! MOO has caught the dreaded shelter cold and now he is going to be killed for it. MOO lived with 2 other male cats and was relaxed and affectionate toward them. Sadly it looks like MOO is the one who got the boot. MOO is a playful, friendly and adorable kitty and he deserves a furever home. But you are the only one who can save him tonight! MOO is AVERAGE rated – and wants to be your new BFF. I came in the shelter as a OWNER SUR on 08/17/2016 from NY 11221, owner surrender reason stated was PERS PROB.

08/17/16 12:39 Moo is a 8 month old white and black DSH. He was given to owner from previous owner and has been in owners care for 6 months. He is being surrendered into center due to owner having personal problems. There are no known health injuries or concerns. Around strangers he is outgoing and friendly; no known experience with children. With adults he is gentle and exuberant. Moo lived with 2 male’s one 2 years old and the other one; he was relaxed and affectionate. There is no known experience with dogs. There is no known history of him biting another person or animal. During car rides he enjoys is afraid and will sleep. There is no known history of him having litter box accidents. He has never been given a bath, will struggle when nails are being trimmed and enjoys having his coat brushed. He enjoys being picked up and held, when being placed in a carrier he is afraid. Moo is described as being friendly, affectionate, playful and confident with a high activity level. He enjoys house guests and when home he will be in the same room. He likes to play with toy balls, string, stuffed and catnip toys. Indoors only he slept anywhere comfortable and at both wet and dry food. He is litter box trained using an uncovered box with crystal litter. He scratched on a vertical post made of carpet and wood with bark.

As per previous owner, Around strangers Moo is outgoing and friendly. Moo has no known experience with children. With adults he is gentle and exuberant. Moo lived with two male cats. He was relaxed and affectionate towards them. Moo is described as being friendly, affectionate, playful and confident with a high activity level. He enjoys house guests and when home he will be in the same room. He likes to play with toy balls, string and stuffed catnip toys. Moo is an indoors only cat. Reaction to assessor: Moo does not come to front but looks at you calm and relaxed When spoken quietly: Moo does not come to front but looks at you calm and relaxed Reaction to door cage opening: Moo remains soft and relaxed Reaction to touch: Moo allows petting and attention Try picking cat up: Moo is tolerant of this type of handling. Behavior Determination: Average At the time of the assessment Moo was displaying calm behavior, did not come to the front of the kennel but interacts with the Assessor, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. Moo is displaying behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.
