*** SAFE 01/31/16 *** PERFECTLY HEALTHY MISTY IS GOING TO DIE BECAUSE SHE SWATTED THE BIG FAKE ASSESSOR’S HAND WITH NO CLAWS OUT!! Yes, that is right. MISTY is EXPERIENCE rated, even though she has a rave review from the staff there. A staff member writes: Misty is a stunning long haired tortoise shell who is looking for a quiet home where she can relax and just be herself. She is a timid little girl here at the care center. When I open her kennel door she peeks her head out of her comfort box to investigate. As I sit there and speak to her softly I can tell that she really wants to come meet me, she’s just not sure if she’s ready quite yet. Misty gets more confident every day and I know that she will be a lovely companion for someone who is very relaxed and calm. If you’d like to open your heart to this gorgeous lady who just needs some time to adjust to her new life, please come to our Manhattan Care Center today! MISTY reacted when the assessor spooked her and she swatted his hand WITHOUT claws. Yet she has a history of being a wonderful friendly cat. So what do they do? Put her on tonight’s list of course! HELP THIS PRETTY TORTIE GIRL OUT OF DEATH’S WAY AND CONTACT A RESCUE NOW TO SAVE HER!!

01/20/2016 PET PROFILE MEMO
01/20/16 14:29 BASIC INFO Misty is a 2 year old female DMH cat. Her family got her as a gift when she was a kitten and had to surrender her because they have a new baby and lack time to care for her. SOCIALIZATION Misty is friendly/outgoing with new people. She lived with 3 children ages 0-12 years old. She once scratched the 7 year old when she was being very rough and grabby with her (no broken skin), months ago. Besides that incident, she’s never bit/scratched any people or animals. One small and one large dog stayed in her home for 2 weeks and she was respectful of them. BEHAVIOR Misty meows in the car. She’s nervous but tolerant while bathed and brushed. She doesn’t mind being picked up, held, or woken up. FOR A NEW FAMILY TO KNOW Misty’s family describes her as friendly, affectionate, playful, talkative, and medium energy. She follows them around and likes to play with wand toys, string, and stuffed toys. She lived inside and slept on the back of the couch. She ate dry Meow Mix chicken and fish food. She’s littertrained, used a hooded litterbox with clumping litter, and doesn’t have accidents. She scratches a vertical carpeted scratching post and a floor mat. INTAKE Misty had been carried here loose in her owner’s arms and driven here loose in the car. When she arrived, she was tense with wide eyes and drooling. She was tolerant of being picked up, handled, scanned (-), collared, and put into a carrier.
