SAFE 12/4/17 MISTLETOE is a darling little kitten that needs some TLC. Please help this little munchkin today.
Mistletoe 15241 – 6 week female black, stray:
Mistletoe was found as a stray and brought into ACC.
How is this cat around strangers?
Mistletoe allows strangers to pick up/hold Mistletoe.
Mistletoe did not attempt to bite/scratch finders

Mistletoe Allowed staff to collar, scan for a microchip and take pictures with no signs of aggression

Doing ok in ISO. OU are shut closed again, but p is able to open eyes. No caked or dried discharge over eyes or nares.
Skin on lateral margins of nose is raw and irritated, likely from the cleaning of dried discharge yesterday.
Food in cage appears untouched. Sat with p and offered food to face, and p started to eat on own. Support staff will continue to monitor p’s appetite.
adding — hand feed BID. If not eating on own, then syringe feed.

Subjective: QAR, very sweet and friendly, good for all medical handling.
Observed Behavior –
Evidence of Cruelty seen – n
Evidence of Trauma seen – n
P = wnl
R = eup
EENT: OU shut, crusted discharge. When eyes were manually opened, purulent discharge noted, conjunctivitis, and chemosis. Difficult to visualize full corneas, but appear clear.
Sneezing, mucopurulent discharge. Ears clear.
Oral Exam: lingual ulcer. decid dentition
PLN: No enlargements noted
H/L: NSR, NMA, CRT < 2, Lungs clear, eupnic
ABD: Non painful, no masses palpated
U/G: intact female
MSI: Ambulatory x 4, skin free of parasites, no masses noted, unkempt hair coat
CNS: Mentation appropriate – no signs of neurologic abnormalities
Rectal: normal externally
– simbadol 0.24mg/kg SQ SID x 5 days, extend PRN
– start doxycycline 10mg/kg PO SID x 10 days, until 12/12/17
– start erythromycin OU BID x 10 day, until 12/12/17
– warm compress OU BID
– Recheck tomorrow, make sure eating
– Recheck day 7 and 10
Temporary waiver due to URI
