11/06/16 14:27 Basic information MissyMeow is a 2 year old spayed brown tabby and white DSH with no known medical conditions. Owner has had MissyMeow for over a year and is surrendering because of allergies in the home. Socialization & behavior MissyMeow has lived with young children ages ranging from new born to 18 month. MissyMeow was relaxed and respectful around children and was gently with them. MissyMeow also played gently with adults. Around strangers MissyMeow will be shy for a few minutes but warms eventually. MissyMeow has not lived with any other cats or dogs. When MissyMeow saw cats outside she would hiss and run away. During car rides MissyMeow was calm. MissyMeow is afraid of getting bathes and will struggle to get away. MissyMeow allowed to have her nails trimmed and enjoyed being brushed. MissyMeow isn’t bothered when being or picked up and held. For the new family to know MissyMeow was described as friendly affectionate and happy with a medium activity level. MissyMeow likes to play with anything she finds on the floor to bat around. When home with MissyMeow she will follow you around seeking attention. MissyMeow ate meowmix both wet and dry food. MissyMeow is litter box trained and uses a covered litter box. MissyMeow enjoys scratching on anything carpet. MissyMeow sleeps anywhere in the house. Behavior during intake. MissyMeow was quiet during intake. MissyMeow greeted counselor with a loose body and enjoyed being pet. MissyMeow allowed to be scanned, collared and held with no problem.

Exam Type BEHAVIOR
As per previous owner, Missymeow has lived with young children ranging from newborns to 18 month olds. She is relaxed and respectful with children and was gentle with them. Around strangers she can be shy for a few minutes but eventually warms up. She has not lived with any other cats or dogs and when she saw cats outside she would hiss and run away. Missymeow allowed having her nails trimmed, her coat brushed and doesn’t mind being picked up. Her owners describe her as friendly affectionate and happy with a medium activity level. Reaction to assessor: Missymeow was relaxed on her blanket then got up, stretched and came to the front of the kennel. Reaction when softly spoken to: Missymeow slow blinks then gently rubs her head against the kennel door with her tail erect. Reaction to cage door opening: Missymeow is calm and relaxed. Reaction to touch: Missymeow sniffs the assessor’s hand, brushes up and leans in when rubbed on her cheeks. She allows petting all over, gives soft head butts, appreciates attention and is very affectionate. Reaction to being picked up: Missymeow is calm, relaxed and nuzzles in the assessor’s arms. Behavior Determination: Beginner Missymeow interacts with the assessor, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. No known history of behavioral problems. This cat can go to a beginner home
