Intact female
Estimated age: 4 weeks
Microchip noted on Intake? negative
History : The patient is stable. Stray kitten
Subjective: Intact female kitten with distended abdoment and left eye
Observed Behavior – Do not move a lot . Not trying to flee. Tolerant to handling.
Evidence of Cruelty seen – NAF
Evidence of Trauma seen – NAF
Objective
P =180 bpm BCS 5/9
EENT: Eyes- left eye yellow discharge with conjuctivitis, ears clean, no nasal discharge noted
Oral Exam: NAF
PLN: No enlargements noted
H/L: NSR, NMA, CRT < 2, Lungs clear, eupnic
ABD: Non painful, no masses palpated
U/G: Intact female
MSI: Ambulatory x 4, skin free of parasites, no masses noted, healthy hair coat
CNS: mentation appropriate – no signs of neurologic abnormalities
FELV/FIV- positive for FIV
Assessment
Conjuctivitis
Distended abdomen- possible intestinal parasites
Plan
erythromycin ointment BID OU for 10 days
Placement with NH or rescue group
Beaware spread of disease.
Prognosis:
good
Temporary waiver due to underage and under weight
