MIRCALE – A1081035
Gone - 7-27-2016 Brooklyn
***GONE 07/27/16*** LIVED WITH YOUNG KIDS, A RABBIT, AND ANOTHER CAT…..MIRCALE NEEDS A MIRACLE TONIGHT! This healthy EXPERIENCE-rated boy was taken to the ACC with his BFF, Pasta, when their former owner got evicted. That was back on July 12th and in all that time, the ONLY thing the ACC has managed to accomplish, is to have infected MIRCALE with their disgusting cold. They don’t even care enough about MIRCALE to take a decent photo of him, but they have NO problem killing him tomorrow, wrapping him in a black plastic freezer bag, and taking him to a landfill. Just from the economic side alone, wouldn’t it be more streamlined for them to find him a HOME? For an agency that puffs itself up as serving the city of New York well, and of an entity that finds happy homes for happy animals, they sure have a way of not seeming to give a damn about MANY of their charges. MAKE SURE MIRCALE GETS HIS MIRACLE BY SHARING HIM TO THE MOON AND BACK, TONIGHT!

Exam Type BEHAVIOR
As per previous owner, Mircale is shy around strangers for a few days and will play gently with adults. He has lived with children ages 2 through 13 and would play gently with them. Mircale lived with another cat and was relaxed, affectionate and played exuberantly with him. He was also friendly and playful with the rabbit that lived in the home. The owner states that he will scratch on the furniture and will urinate and defecate in the car. He was described as being friendly, affectionate, playful, mellow, independent and talkative with a low activity level. Reaction to assessor: Mircale was at the back of the kennel with wide eyes focused on the assessor. Reaction when softly spoken to: Mircale closes his eyes and turns his head away from the assessor. Reaction to cage door opening: Mircale remains motionless. Reaction to touch: Mircale sniffs the assessors hand and allows petting all over. He leans in slowly for rubs on his cheek, lip licks then turns away towards the wall. Mircale is reported to have a history of scratching the furniture, and should go to a home that can safely cat-proof furniture and drapes in the home. We advise future adopters to make sure to provide mentally and physically stimulating toys to keep Mircale occupied when left alone. Behavior Determination: Experience Mircale may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to his new home. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents.
