Found as a stray, the finder was able to pick the kitten up and place in a carrier. Upon intake, the kitten had tense and low body.

H/L: NSR, NMA, CRT < 2, Lungs clear, eupneic
ABD: Non painful, no masses palpated
U/G: FI, reducible umbilical hernia palpated
MSI: Ambulatory x 4, skin free of parasites, no masses noted, healthy hair coat
CNS: mentation appropriate – no signs of neurologic abnormalities

KNOWN HISTORY:
Mint Chip came to the shelter as a stray, so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies in a home environment. The finder was able to handle the kitten. Upon intake, Mint Chip was tense.

Reaction to being picked up: Mint Chip meows and clings to the assessor, uncomfortable.
