07/08/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Minnesota was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to his behavior in his previous home. Reaction to assessor: Minnesota backs away and hisses as you approach the kennel. Reaction when softly spoken to: Minnesota lowers her body with wide eyes focused on the assessor. Reaction to cage door opening: Minnesota remains motionless. Reaction to touch: Minnesota hisses and spits at the assessor as you approach her and shifts away from contact. His eyes are wide, body curled up and he is very tense when pet. Reaction to being picked up: Minnesota is very tense when held, leaps back immediately and retreats to the back of the kennel. Behavior Determination: Experience No Child Minnesota tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. He may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to his or her new home. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
