SAFE 6/25/17 MININO & NINO are two sweet male cats who came into the shelter together. These two boys would make a wonderful addition to your home. They are outgoing and affectionate.

I am a neutered male, black and white Domestic Shorthair mix.
The shelter staff think I am about 6 months old.
I weigh 6 pounds.
I was found in NY 11385.
I have been at the shelter since Jun 16, 2017.
MININO:
BASIC INFORMATION: Minino is a black/white DSH male cat. Minino was bred at home 7 months ago and has no known health issues. Minino was brought into ACC due to owners health issues.
SOCIALIZATION: Minino is friendly and social with strangers and adults. Minino has been exposed to children and gets along with them well. He has lived with other cats and plays gently with the other cats. Nino has not resided with dogs or been exposed to them. Minino plays gently with the adults in the home and loves attention and affection. Minino has not bitten or scratched another person or animal within the past 10 days and does not have a bite history.
BEHAVIOR: Minino allows the owner to brush his coat and pick him up. Minino also allows the owner to place him in a carrier with ease.
FOR A NEW FAMILY TO KNOW: Minino is best described as a friendly affectionate and playful cat. His activity level is high and loves to sunbathe, play with cat toys and play with his owner. Minino has been kept indoors only and sleeps in different areas in the home. Minino enjoys eating wet and dry food from any brand 3-4X per day. Minino also enjoys eating treats from brand Temptations. Minino is litter box trained and uses an open litter box with clumping or clay litter. Minino occasionally scratched on a leather couch and may need a scratching post.
BEHAVIOR UPON INTAKE: Upon intake, Minino displayed a relaxed body, Minino tolerated all handling and scanned negative.

EVALUATION:
Cage Condition: Cage recently cleaned
Reaction to assessor: Minino was meowing repeatedly by the front, demanding for attention.
Reaction when softly spoken to: Minino continues to meow and climbs on the cage door, reaching out with his paws.
Reaction to cage door opening: Minino remains soft and relaxed, greeting by the opening.
Reaction to touch: Minino head-butts and arches his body, purring. He climbs on the assessor’s lap and rubs against their body for attention.
Reaction to being picked up: Minino remains soft and continues to purr when held.
ACTIVITY LEVEL: Lively

MSI: Ambulatory x 4, skin free of parasites, no masses noted, healthy hair coat
CNS: mentation appropriate – no signs of neurologic abnormalities
Assessment: Apparently healthy
Plan: Continue to monitor while at BACC
Prognosis: Excellent
SURGERY: Okay for surgery
