***SAFE 12/08/16 *** – 10 YR OLD SWEETHEART WASN’T WELCOME IN THE NEW DIGS! SHE NEEDS OUT NOW!! A volunteer writes: Shelter staff believe Mimish is 10, but she certainly still has a youthful spirit. She’s bright-eyed (with beautiful eyes), alert and friendly, prancing to the front of her cage and mewing for attention to anyone who passes. She enjoys playing with toys and loves head scratches. A pint-size little gal, the white on the tip of her tail makes it look like she’s just accidentally dipped in white paint, adding to how cute she already is.

Reaction to being picked up: Jade is calm, relaxed and allows all handling. Mimish previous owners report that she was eliminating (urinating and defecating) outside the litterbox for about a month. We are unaware of what, if any, modifications steps were taken to try and address this behavior in the home, so we cannot be sure what the trigger may have been or if this behavior may continue in a future home. However, we recommend that potential adopters be comfortable with management and modification techniques for elimination outside the litterbox should this behavior continue in a home environment. Behavior Determination: Average Mimish interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.
