08/23/17 15:17 During Intake: Milo allowed handling and was receptive to touch. She came in and out of the carrier gently. Her tail was straight up and shape like a hook. Her eyes were semi dilated. She was not interested in treats. The admissions counselor placed her back inside her carrier because she was measuring the high from the counter to the floor. Inside the carrier she had a loose body and relaxed facial expressions.

ACTIVITY LEVEL: Mellow VOCAL: Quiet CHARACTER TYPE: Calm, Sweet MEDICAL BEHAVIOR: 8/25/17- Observed Behavior – friendly ENRICHMENT NOTES: 8/24/17- Dozing on bedding, woke and came to the front when spoken to, soft eyes and body. Retreated slightly when door opened, minor lip licking, but warmed up again quickly when touched. Leaned and arched into pets, purred, ate offered treats. EVALUATION: Cage Condition: No change Reaction to assessor: Milo remains neutral, lying down on her cage bedding during the approach. Reaction to cage door opening: Milo stands with tail up, alert with soft eyes, ears erect and forward. Reaction to touch: Milo head bunts the assessor’s hand, purrs and appreciates the petting. Reaction to being picked up: She becomes antsy then jumps back into the cage. BEHAVIOR SUMMARY: Average Milo interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.
