***SAFE 05/27/16*** MILKDUD…ABSOLUTELY NO REASON SHE SHOULD BE ON DEATH ROW! She’s pretty healthy, clean and already SPAYED. She’s just 3 years old and if not for nosey people, she wouldn’t even be here! Where she was found and trapped,the Finder stated that there were many cats. But for some reason, MILKDUD had to suffer the consequences by just being there! This girl needs a New Hope rescue to save her as she’s RESCUE ONLY. She needs a FOSTER OR ADOPTER as well to contact the rescue and set her free!

05/15/16 08:24 Animal’s appearance – Cat appeared to be clean and of healthy weight. Animal’s demeanor with you – Cat was in a trap and was not handled during intake. Cat was transferred directly from trap into den. Finder stated there is an abundance of stray cats in his area. He explained that there is a vacant lot behind his home and that’s where the cats have been coming from.

Milkdud came to the shelter as a stray, so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies in a home environment. Upon intake, Milkdud was not handled. Reaction to assessor: Milkdud is lying mid-cage, body neutral. Reaction when softly spoken to: Milkdud looks at the assessor, body neutral. Reaction to cage door opening: Milkdud tenses slightly. Reaction to touch: Milkdud strikes at the assessor, hisses, and retreats to the back of the cage. Placement Determination: New Hope Only Milkdud does not approach the assessor and does not allow handling. Milkdud is exhibiting behavior suited to rescue partners.
