I came in the shelter as a OWNER SUR on 02/06/2017 from NY 11213, owner surrender reason stated was PERS PROB. I came in with Group/Litter #K17-087887.

02/06/17 13:30 Basic information: Miles is a domestic short hair cat who was surrendered with his sister Moana because they kept climbing on the counter tops in the kitchen. Socialization: Around strangers Miles is friendly, outgoing and plays gently and exuberantly with adults and children. Miles has spent time with children ages 5 to 13 years old, around them Miles is relaxed and affectionate. Miles has lived with his sister Moana for his whole life and plays gently and exuberantly around her. Miles has never been around dogs so it is unknown how he will react to being around one. Behavior: Miles has never bitten or scratched another person or animal. Miles will sleep when he is riding in the car. Miles’ previous owner did not attempt to give him a bath, trim his nails or place him in a carrier so it is unknown how he will react to these events. Miles enjoys being brushed, being picked up/held and doesn’t mind being disturbed while he is resting/sleeping. For a new family to Know: Miles is described as friendly, affectionate, playful, confident and quiet with a very high activity level. When at home Miles will follow around his owner and likes to play with balls. Miles was kept indoors only and was fed dry food form the brand Purina. Miles is litter box trained and used an uncovered litter box with clumping litter. Miles was not given a scratching post so it is unknown how he will react to one. Intake Behavior: Miles was sleepy during intake but allowed staff to collar, scan for a microchip and take pictures with no signs of aggression. Miles enjoyed being pet and picked up by staff and would purr very loudly.

Stood and came to the front when door opened, soft eyes and body. Leaned and arched into pets, and purred. Ideal event cat. MEDICAL BEHAVIOR: Miles allowed handling during examination ACTIVITY LEVEL: Laid back, Mellow VOCAL: Quiet, CHARACTER TYPE: Social, Calm BEHAVIOR SUMMARY: Beginner Miles interacts with the Assessor, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting.
