MICKEY – 16535
Safe - 12-27-2017 Manhattan
SAFE 12/27/17 A volunteer writes: If you had never met a cat before and never heard the generalization that they are aloof and imperious, and Mickey was the first cat you’d ever met, you would come away thinking that cats are just like Labrador Retriever puppies, all happy, snappy, bouncing with joy, cuddly-wuddly snugglers. Well, Mickey must have grown up with puppies, because she is so open and eager for attention – she’s literally like putty in your hands. Even better, this nine-year-old lady must have discovered the fountain of youth, because she looks and acts like a kitten (or a puppy). Honestly, it is impossible not to fall in love with her.
**9 year old MICKEY was dumped by his owner. He is already neutered, and should have follow up dental cleaning after adoption. Please give this older boy a furever home!

For a New Family to Know
Mickey is described as very friendly and affectionate. The owner’s favorite thing about Mickey is how he likes to be around his owner on his own terms. Mickey’s favorite thing to do is sleep. When the owner is home, Mickey stays in the same room as him. Mickey enjoys feather toys. Mickey has been kept indoors only but his owner did allow him into the hallway of his building to run around. Mickey sleeps on the couch. Mickey is free fed Friskies dry food and 2 cans a day of Fancy Feast wet food. Mickey uses an uncovered litter box with crystal litter. Mickey uses a scratching post made out of rough rope, carpet, and fabric.
Behavior Notes:
Upon intake, Mickey was meowing softly and in a crouched position. Mickey was reluctant to move and pushed all of his body weight on to the table. Once the carrier was opened, Mickey walked willingly inside. Mickey allowed all handling.
