***SAFE 06/03/16*** TINY BABY PANTHER WILL BE KILLED TOMORROW AT NOON! MICK is a petite black baby boy. At just a little over a year old, he’s found himself at the ACC along with his house mates (who are not listed tonight) because his owner got sick and went to the hospital. He’s been given an EXPERIENCED rating. He allows petting and attention, but is tense in the shelter. He’s probably wondering where his kitty friends and his purr-son are. He doesn’t understand what’s going on, and why he’s sitting in a cold metal cage instead of at home snuggled up in his bed with his favorite food and toys near by. Can YOU turn it all around for this baby? Mick has caught the shelter cold, and has been listed to DIE TOMORROW AT NOON. He needs a hero to pull him to safety TONIGHT! Contact the Help Desk at [email protected] if you need assistance.

Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Mick was brought in without any information on his behavior in his previous home. She tolerated most handling during his initial medical exam, but did attempt to flee. Reaction to Assessor: Mick was calm and relaxed upon approach. Reaction when softly spoken to: Mick looks at the assessor with soft eyes and blinks. Reaction to cage door opening: Mick retreats to the back and curls up. Reaction to touch: Mick hisses softly, but sniffs the assessor’s hand. He was hesitant at first, but allows gentle petting and closes his eyes. He appears to warm up slightly, but still seems unsure. Placement Determination: Experience Mick tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter. He may need time to warm up to his new home. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents.
