SAFE 5/31/18 WATCH VIDEO – FIV POSITIVE – Mia was surrendered because her owner is very ill. She was noted to be extremely sweet and loving. Mia tested positive for FIV and can live a normal, healthy life. Please consider this beauty!

H/L: NSR, NMA, CRT < 2, Lungs clear, eupnic
ABD: Soft, non painful, not distended, no masses palpated. Large bladder.
U/G: Female. Ear-tipped. Small vulva and nipples, no masses or discharge.
MSI: Ambulatory x 4, skin free of parasites, no masses noted, healthy hair coat
CNS: Mentation appropriate – no signs of neurologic abnormalities
Rectal: Normal externally
FeLV/FIV test – POSITIVE for FIV

5/23/18 Observed Behavior – Allows all handling, purring
ENRICHMENT NOTES:
Resting in cubby, eyes a little dilated but soft gaze and posture. Came out to shelf when spoken to, started rubbing against the bars and purring loudly. Stayed at the front when door opened, nuzzled, then ate treats from my hand, head-butted, leaned hard into pets, still purring. Ideal event cat.

Mia is a mellow, shy, talkative and quiet cat. When at home, Mia rarely seeks attention. Mia was kept as an indoors only cat and was free fed dry food and given half a can of wet food at 7pm each day. Mia is litter box trained and used an open litter box. Mia had a scratching post made out of rope that she used.
