METHOD MAN – A1097125
Safe - 3-12-2017 Manhattan
SAFE 3/12/17 *** SHY BOY NEEDS YOU NOW!!! A volunteer writes: I feel for Method Man, a tuxedo-clad young guy who is used to a home but now finds himself in the busy cat adoption room. When I went to greet him, he beamed his warm gold eyes at me and then looked away, acknowledging my presence but letting me know he wasn’t up for a play session yet. Method Man did nicely on his behavior exam, allowing all handling and softening his eyes as the test went on. He’s just one of those shy cats who needs to warm up to humans at his own pace. I understand his need to get his bearings first-and I hope his future family does too.

11/20/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPERIENCE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Method Man was brought in without information on his behavioral tendencies in his previous home. He lived in a home with many cats. He was fearful during his initial medical exam, but he allowed the medical team to conduct most handling. Reaction to assessor: Method Man was crouched over by the back, neutral. Reaction when softly spoken to: Method Man looks at the assessor, but averts his gaze. Reaction to cage door opening: Method Man becomes stiff and alert, but remains motionless. Reaction to touch: Method Man was hesitant of touch, but sniffs the assessor’s hand. He is tense during petting, but allows the assessor to pet him on his head and body. His eyes soften during the interaction, but he lip licks also. Behavior Determination: Experienced Method Man tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter. He may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to his new home. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents.
