**SAFE 07/21/16** SAD SIGH! MERRI WETHER is an all-around GREAT GIRL who should never have ended up at the ACC. This immaculate spayed lady is 7 years old, described by her former owners as “timid and sweet” and she’s been an indoor, adult-owned cat. Perfect, right? She lived with those folks her entire life until they decided to move somewhere she can’t go, and figured they would just take her to “the pound” because the pound finds homes for cats……except, that’s NOT what happens at the pound. People don’t know any better and they don’t listen to the ACC staff during the surrender process, when they are told their former pet might be killed at the shelter. MERRI WETHER gave those people all 7 years of her life, 7 LOVING years, and she will be repaid by an unsedated death tomorrow, looking around frantically for someone she loves to save her. It’s HEARTBREAKING and PREVENTABLE, if a FOSTER/ADOPTER steps up for her tonight!
