06/22/16 13:12 Memphis is a male DSH kitten. He was found behind his finder’s home, injured. He allowed his finder to pick him up with gloves to bring him to ACC. Memphis walks with his front limbs and drags his rear limbs. His coat is dirty. Memphis sometimes hissed but was tolerant while we pet him, picked him up, scanned him (-), and collared him, and during his medical exam. He would walk away if we weren’t holding him.

Reaction to assessor: Memphis looks tense in the cage when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Memphis remains crouched position at the back of the cage, alert with eyes wide open. Reaction to touch: Memphis hisses at first, but when touched he stiffens up in place and shows no interest. Placement determination: Experience Memphis tolerates attention and petting, but may be fearful in the shelter. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents.

Scan negative MI ~6 mo S-stray found in vehicle O-BAR, hissing/scared, pink mm, CRT< 2, hydrated EENT-CAU, COU, no nasal d/c PLN-all wnl CV-no m/a, fsp Resp-clear and eup GI-negative oral exam, SNP GU-MI, nsf MSI-BCS 3/5, amb x 3 with gait abnormalities of hindlimbs (L>R), no pain on long bone palpation, painful on ROM of hips (R>L), dirty haircoat with caked fecal material over left hip region Neuro-BAR, normal cranial nerves, amb x 3, with ataxia of hindlimbs, CP deficits bilaterally, difficult to tell if motor present in LHL due to patient being nervous and non-weight bearing on leg, unable to assess deep pain due to patient’s temperament (too fearful) A-6 mo MI DSH 1. bilateral hindlimb ataxia with pain on ROM of hips bilaterally R/O pelvic fracture vs other 2.
