A volunteer writes: Maximo’s former owner told us that he was timid. But when I met him in the cat adoption area yesterday, this tabby dreamboat was confident, friendly, and waiting patiently for me to put down my pen so he could score a head scratch. The Care Center’s behavior team backs me up here. They found Maximo to be a gentle affection monger, noting that he leaned in for petting and appreciated the human contact–which helped score him an A on his behavior assessment. His previous person also said that he’s front-declawed and lived with (and got on well with) another cat in the house. Buddha-calm and a perfect gentleman, Maximo is ready to take over your heart and home today!
