Medical Behavior Evaluation GREEN
Medical Summary 01/24/17 Check cat may have fallen out a window. Microchip scan neg. O: BARH. mm=pink, moist, CRT<2 s. Friendly, allows all handling. ORAL: All adult teeth erupted, good dental condition. Mandible asymmetric. EENT: Left sided epistaxis. Mild periocular swelling and mucoid discharge with slight bleeding OS. H/L: HR=200, RR=purring. Lungs clear, no murmurs/arrhythmias. ABD/UG: Intact male. Abd palpation WNL. MS: Painful on palpation of rostral mandible. Mild swelling left fron paw and metacarpus. No palpable fractures but is painful. A: Suspect mandibular symphyseal fracture. Soft tissue injury left orbit, nasal cavity, and left forelimb. P: Buprenorphine 0.43 ml SQ administered. Continue BID x 5 days. Applied TAB-HC ointment OS. Continue TAB OS BID x 5 days. Monitor condition – if remains stable, sedate and radiograph jaw and left front paw. Good prognosis with appropriate therapy.
