***SAFE 02/26/16 ***MARLOW IS A 6 MONTH OLD KITTEN WHO WAS BROUGHT IN NOT FEELING VERY WELL – NOW THIS FRIGHTENED BOY WILL DIE AT NOON! MARLOW would love nothing more than to feel safe, loved, and WELL!! He has a nasty cold, and some lingual ulcers in his mouth which all can be treated by a competent vet. Since he is afraid, as any cat would be in this shelter, he allowed limited petting and received an EXPERIENCE rating. MARLOW will relax and be your little cuddle bug once he has recovered from this cold and feels safe and loved. Patience may be required for this little stray kitten but it will be well worth it! GIVE MARLOW A CHANCE TO LIVE AND HAVE A HOME – CONTACT A RESCUE NOW TO PULL HIM TO SAFETY – EMAIL THE HELP DESK AT [email protected] IF YOU NEED RESCUE INFO!

02/23/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPERIENCE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Marlow stays at the back of the cage low and tense When spoken quietly: Marlow stays at the back of the cage low and tense Reaction to door cage opening: Marlow remains motionless Reaction to touch: Marlow allows petting but remains tense Try picking cat up: Did not attempt Behavior Determination: Experience Marlow was brought to the care center as a stray so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies previous to what we are seeing during the evaluation. At the time of the assessment he was displaying fearful behavior; does not seek attention from the assessor and becomes alert when the kennel was open. Remains motionless as I started to get closer. I was able to pet him and interact with him in a limited way. Although he was tense no fractious behavior was display. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents.
