Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Mario was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to his behavior in his previous home. He was shy upon intake and hisses, but allowed the counselors to pick him up. He was also tense and nervous during his initial medical exam. Reaction to assessor: Mario was lying down, calm and relaxed. Reaction when softly spoken to: Mario lifts his head and looks at the assessor. Reaction to cage door opening: Mario remains soft and relaxed. Reaction to touch: Mario remains in place and begins to purr. Reaction to being picked up: Mario remains calm and purrs when held. Behavior Determination: Average Mario interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.
