A social cat that was trapped and brought here. Nervous and wary as I first approach, shifts between sides of his kennel, wide-eyed, makes lots of eye contact. Settles in his litter box and when I approach slowly with a piece of chicken, he extends to sniff but doesn’t eat but starts rubbing his face against the side of his box and rolling around playfully. With a slow, gentle approach I reach to give head rubs, and he immediattly perks up, lifts up and pushes chin into my hand, starts to come forward, friendly. He lets me pet all over, enjoying and appreciating the attention, soliciting more. I picked him up and held easily; when I return to his kennel he eats his chicken and then solicits more attention. Social, friendly, clean, really handsome cat who is understandbly nervous and unsure here yet after arriving just last night after being trapped and will take a little time to adjust to this environment. His kennel is right by the door, which frequently opens, and the dogs in the next room are really loud, which he clearly finds distracting. Removed “will flee” and “use caution” stickers. UDPDATE: He’s already beginning to come to the front, soliciting attention, rollling around playfully. Hasn’t made any attempts to flee, is social and friendly, just a bit nervous and unsure still. Medical just vaxed without any trouble.
