Basic Information:
Mandi is a large Brown tabby DSH that was found outside. Owners have had Mandi for 2 months and are surrendering because of personal health.

Mandi has lived with teenagers the age of 15 and 18 and was relaxed adn affectioante with them. Mandi played getnyl with them.

Behavior Notes
in car rides Mandi would meow. Mandi is ok with getting baths. Previous owners did not attempt to trim her nails. Mandi isnt bothered when being picked up and held by the family. Mandi will let you brush her sometimes and other times she will run away. Mandi isnt bothered when being placed in a carrier.

Mandi was described as playful, shy, quiet adn smart. when home wiht Mandi she will follow you around or be off in a favorite spot of hers. Mandi likes to sleep on the couch or her cat bed. Mandi eats wet food 3 times a day and doesnt like dry food much. Mandi is litter box trained. Mandi uses an uncovered litter box with any type of litter. Mandi did nto have a scratching post at home and liked to scratch on the carpet.

During intake Mandi was quiet. When approached she would meow softly. Mandi allowed to be picked up scanned and collared with no problem. Mandi enjoyed being pet and would push her face into the counselors hand. Mandi allowed all handling and was very sweet.

Lying in front of kennel with a flat, tense body. Makes eye contact, when looks away. She tolerates petting along her head and body while remaining very still and licking her lips. Needs more time to adjust.

Sitting upright in front of kennel, ears forward. Vocalizes when spoken to. She remains calm as the cage door opens and allows petting along her head and body while leaning in and raising her rear. Turns her head to watch my hand and tenses. Focused on environment. Eats all treats given. Doing better today – has potential to warm up.

Relaxed at the front of the kennel. Starts eating when spoken to softly, lifts her head up to make eye contact. She sniffs my hand and leans in, allowing petting and rubbing on her cheeks and body. Her tail rises and starts to sway when pet along her back. She gives head butts and appreciates attention, but turns around and vocalizes when pet for too long on her back. Doing great!

Mandi was by the front, calm and relaxed. Chirps when approached and eats all tuna when offered. Is a bit hesitant, but allows stroke and was rewarded each time. Her body posture was relaxed, but the end of her tail will flicker from time to time. She lifts her rear when pet on her back.
